Iran Attempts Revenge Attack, Pays Heavy Price

After weeks of threatening Israel with retaliation for attacks on Syrian-Iranian military installations, Iranian forces fired a barrage of 20 rockets towards the Golan Heights at midnight local time; four of the rockets were shot down by the IDF’s Iron Dome anti-missile defense system, the remainder landed in Syrian territory, short of their intended targets.  In response, Israel launched its largest military offensive in Syria in 45 years, hitting dozens of targets and destroying the majority of Iran’s military infrastructure in the war torn country.  Did the Islamic Republic learn a lesson last night, or will it seek revenge for its failed attempt at revenge?
